Who we are

Who we are

Lamcor was established in 2020 with the vision of utilizing and processing Posidonia Oceanica seaweed, which washes up on the Mediterranean coasts and is considered as waste. Guided by the principles of circular economy and green development, Lamcor started its activity by focusing on research and development of innovative, 100% ecological, and sustainable products.

Today, after three years of research and development, Lamcor is able to offer ecological products for the Bedding industry, animal husbandry, and ecological soundproofing and thermal insulation products for use in construction or building renovations.

By leveraging its expertise and prioritizing sustainable development and research, Lamcor aims to create a wide sustainable portfolio, showcasing the properties of Posidonia Oceanica and offering value and life to what has been considered waste until today.

Management team

The founder of the company, Athanasios Lampropoulos, graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Kapodistrian University. His extensive knowledge of fiber raw materials from his previous involvement, his academic expertise, and his strong sensitivity to environmental issues were the pillars for the creation of Lamcor. As he often expresses himself:

"I envision a world where the words garbage/waste will not exist as concepts."

Georgios Lampropoulos, embracing the same environmental concerns as the founder and his brother Athanasios, actively contributes to the development of Lamcor's vision by utilizing his knowledge as a Mechanical Engineer and a design engineer from the University of Derby, maintaining the position of production manager.
